For weeks after a break up, you will be suffering from doubt, wondering if it was the right thing to do. Your emotions will be up and down. Initially, you will be blaming your ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend for everything, but later you will be missing them terribly.

Don't worry as these are completely natural feelings to have. Here is a reassuring thought for you -- your ex is probably feeling exactly the same way. The trick is to spot the tell-tail signs that your ex still loves you.

So you ask the question, "Does my ex still love me?" Here is how to tell.

• They will ask your friends about you. They are trying to see if you have moved on or not. Friends are a great source of information in respect to what your ex is doing.
• They will want to know how you are doing and if you are dating.
• They will try and call you. Not the desperate leave you a 100 messages type call you but the friendly just a quick chat type of call. You may get calls from numbers you don't know and be greeted with silence on the line. This happens when they want to say something to you but can't find how or what to say.
• They will not be dating again.
• They will be waiting for a sign from you that you are thinking about getting back together.

Let's clarify that they may be out on the odd date but nothing long term or meaningful. They will try and move on but nothing meets their needs like your relationship. In fact if they do try and date it will work in your favour.

In many cases, the feelings of love and attachment are not broken immediately. With this in mind ,you can salvage nearly any relationship if you know what and more importantly what NOT to do.
